Challenge

There exists a single application with a huge user database. This becomes problematic when new applications are added. Users are required to register again for each new application, which is cumbersome.

Solution

The introduction of Keycloak as a Single Sign-On solution serves as a central point of access for the applications connected to the user database. This approach utilizes a connection to the existing database to avoid data migration.

The quick, professional, and competent work by bitside made the timely launch of our central customer login possible. We find bitside to be a solid and reliable partner before, during, and after project completion.

Impact

The Single Sign-On serves as the user base for the company’s applications.

One user – hundreds of possibilities
Log in once – endless possibilities. By introducing a customized Keycloak service, we were able to provide customer user data for various applications – cumbersome registration for multiple applications is finally a thing of the past.
Zero-stress migration
The implementation of the solution was additive – existing applications required minimal adjustments.

New paths are meant to be explored.
